Abstract

This Act provides for measures to for the protection of sharks from commercial overfishing. It prohibits the possession, sale or otherwise trade in shark fins, except for subsistence and research purposes (with a valid license or permit issued by the Department of Lands and Natural Resources). The Department may adopt Rules and Regulations pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act necessary for the purposes of this Act.
