It, among other things: defines powers and duties of the Head of Government, the Deputy Head of Government, and the membership of the Council of the Regional Government; establishes various Bureaus of government including an Agriculture Bureau, an Environmental Protection, Rural Land Administration and Use Bureau, the Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Parks’ Development, and a Water Resource Development Bureau; defines specific powers and duties of these Bureaus; stipulates which executive bodies shall be accountable to the various Bureaus; provides in general with respect to the administration of the Amhara National Region.
