Abstract

This Amendment to the Fishery Management Plan for the Reef Fish Resources of the Gulf of Mexico of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council contains a rebuilding plan for red snapper and sets the Sustainable Fisheries Act (SFA) parameters for that fish species. It also establishes bycatch reporting methodologies for the reef fish fishery. The Plan is established to end overfishing and rebuild the red snapper stock to a level consistent with current fishery management standards.
