Abstract

This Amendment to the Fishery Management Plan (FMP) for Coral and Coral Reefs in the U.S. Fishery Conservation Zone (FCZ) of the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic under the jurisdiction of the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council and the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council establishes area closures, vessel trip limits, gear restrictions, permits and reporting for live rock harvest and aquaculture, restricted access, a phase-out of harvest by 1997, and a redefinition of octocorals.
