Abstract

This Amendment of the Fishery Management Plan for the Shrimp Fishery of the Gulf of Mexico: requires all vessels harvesting shrimp from the EEZ to obtain a commercial shrimp vessel permit from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS); prohibits the use of traps to harvest of royal red shrimp from the EEZ; and prohibits the transfer or royal red shrimp at sea. The federal shrimp craft permit from the NMFS is renewable annually.
