Abstract

This Schedule defines the functions of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock relative to fisheries. Functions include: preparation of schemes and coordination of national policy in respect of fisheries; prevention of fish diseases; development of fisheries resources; management of fish farms and conservation of fish; refrigeration and cold storage; issuing licences to fishing vessels; fishing and fisheries beyond territorial waters; feasibility studies and research on fisheries.
