The present Regulation comes into force on 1 January 2002. In compliance with the ongoing regulatory review initiative, this Regulation must be reviewed on or before 28 February 2017.
Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to the establishment of a Plan administered by the Alberta Sheep and Wool Commission. The purposes of this Plan are: a) to provide for the initiation, support or conduct of programs for stimulating, increasing and improving the economic well-being of the sheep and wool industry in Alberta; b) to provide for the initiation, support or conduct of studies and research in connection with production, processing and marketing; c) to provide assistance in the education of producers and dealers; d) to provide for the initiation, support or conduct of promotional activities in respect of the production, marketing and processing; e) to provide funds to any organization for programs that have objectives similar to those of the Commission. The text consists of 40 sections. One Schedule is enclosed.
