For the purposes of subsection (1), the amount of any direct investment by the Corporation in a natural resource project or related infrastructure shall be considered to be and shall be calculated as part of the total amount of indigenous group investment in the project or related infrastructure. The Corporation may, in carrying out the Corporation’s mandate, only make a grant or contribution in accordance with a grant program established by the Corporation and approved by the Minister. The Corporation shall not make a grant or contribution for the purpose of providing funds to purchase or invest in a natural 824; resource project or related infrastructure.
