Although noise sources can be diverse, the action plan focuses on the noise caused by transport (road, railway, air), hospitality sector (resulting from music at bars, restaurants, pubs, and discos), and machinery and equipment located in public spaces. The main objective of the action plan is the sustainable management of the environmental noise in compliance with the permitted noise pollution levels establish by relevant EU directives and protection of human health.
