Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to the monitoring and reporting of air quality. At the outset the Regulation contains a definition clause relating to terms employed therein, such as “discharge unit”, “facility”, “guideline”, “NAICS” (North American Industry Classification System). The Regulation applies to a facility if it is part of a class identified by a NAICS code listed in Table 1 to the Guideline. Section 6 establishes that the owner and the operator of a facility required to ensure that air emissions of a contaminant from the facility are monitored and calculated shall ensure that a report is prepared and submitted to the Director, in accordance with the related Guideline. The text consists of 14 sections.
