Abstract The present Law lays down provisions relating to air pollution by heating installations. The underlying principle is that the natural composition of ambient air may be altered only as it does not harm human beings, animals and plants in their well-being and natural environment. The text deals with the following matters: measures keeping the air clean, promotion of clean air, monitoring of heating plants, local authorities, controlling bodies, tasks of the Environment Office of the Land of Vorarlberg, costs and penalties.
