Abstract

These Regulations amend the Agriculture (Control of Plant Disease and Pest) Regulations 1970 by inserting a new regulation which prescribes that a person may import soil into Bermuda only under a permit issued by the Minister responsible for the environment. If the permit is granted, the Minister shall specify in the permit the conditions of importation of the soil. Soil shall be kept at the port of arrival until a permission of the Minister to remove the soil is obtained.
