Abstract The purpose of the present Act is to ensure the continuation of the department of the Government of Saskatchewan called the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Revitalization. The offices of the administration of the Government of Saskatchewan relating to agriculture and food shall be under the control of the department. The Act deals with, amongst others, assistance to agricultural and food industries, power of the minister to acquire personal property, power of the minister to engage consultants, establish boards, financial assistance, international aid, persons required to supply information, power to enter upon land, Agricultural Supplies Revolving Fund, Livestock services revolving fund, winding-up of the Agri-Food Equity Fund.
