The present Law enters into force on 1 July 2009.
Abstract

The present Act aims at promoting agriculture in the Principality of Liechtenstein, ensuring favourable conditions for its development, an efficient and environment-friendly agricultural policy. In particular, its implementation must comply with a low-cost, high-quality production of agriculture, the conservation and promotion of land cultivated and developed by man, the protection of the environment, of flora and fauna, the health of people and land use planning in general. The text consists of 86 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Framework for production (II); Structure (III); Cost effectiveness (IV); Ecology (V); Markets (VI); Services by third parties (VII); Organization and enforcement (VIII); Legal remedies (IX); Penalties (X); Transitional and final provisions (XI).
