The Act seeks to ensure that agricultural training shall be carried out in a manner that meets the needs of the present generation but without compromising the rights of future generations and but with due regard to environmental factors. The Act requires the Senior Executive Officer of the Centre to ensure that environmental impact assessments are carried out prior to any major developmental projects undertaken by the Centre.
