Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Agricultural Statistics Act. Statistics relating to crops, areas of cultivation and stock shall be collected by Provincial Agricultural Officers on behalf of the Director of Agriculture. All persons in charge of farms or estates, whether owners, lessees, managers, servants or occupiers, or any persons acting on behalf of such persons, shall render a return in the form set out in the Schedule to the Provincial Agricultural Officer of the Province in which the farm or estate is situate. Statistics relating to costs of agricultural production and agricultural prices shall be collected by the agricultural economist. Any person who, in the opinion of the agricultural economist, is able to furnish information which the agricultural economist desires to obtain for the purposes of determining the costs of agricultural production or agricultural prices shall, when required so to do by the agricultural economist, furnish such information.
