All former societies are continued, and the Act sets out stipulations when forming a new society in section 4. The following provisions set out the administrative procedures of running such a society, including; members (sect. 5); annual meetings (sect. 14) and Quorum (sect. 23). Section 25 provides for an advisory board to assist the superintendent by general direction and supervision of societies. The duties of the superintendent are outlined in section 28, and section 29 deals with annual returns. Societies are to be corporate bodies according to section 31. Section 32 deals with exhibitions in detail and Further sections provide the procedure in respect of grants. Provisions concerning the dissolution of a society can be found in section 45. At the conclusion of the act are two schedules concerning section 4, showing the prescribed form of an application for the formation of a society and an affidavit verifying the application.
