It contains provisions on the appointment of inspectors (sect. 2) and on their powers (sects. 3, 5 – 12). The Act also provides for licensing for the sale of agricultural products. Under section 21, an Agricultural Products Appeal Board shall be established to hear appeals for decisions and orders of inspectors under the Act. Section 22 deals with offences and penalties while section 24 defines which matters can be object of regulation by the Commissioner in Executive Council.
