Abstract

These Regulations prohibit the sale on the domestic market of fruit juice and similar drinks and fruit pureé, squash, etc. (as defined in classes by these Regulations), whether imported or produced in South Africa, that do not meet quality standards as prescribed by these Regulations. The Regulations define classes of such drinks and fruit preparations and prescribe quality standards for each class. They also prescribe rules relative to packing and labelling ices and make provision for sampling, testing and inspection.
