Abstract

These Regulations prohibit engaging, for profit or gain, in the business of buying any agricultural produce (i.e. the produce of any agricultural crop specified in the Second Schedule) from producers without a valid licence issued under these Regulations by a licensing officer. If a licensing officer is satisfied that the applicant for a licence is a fit and proper person and is a Malawi national, he or she may issue a licence in the form set out in the First Schedule.
