Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to regulate the sale and distribution of agricultural implements or parts in Saskatchewan. The Act is applicable to leases as well as sales. The Act provides legal guidelines for warranties, sales contracts, emergency parts service and compensation claims. For the purpose of the Act an “agricultural implement” is any implement, equipment or machine with a retail selling price of $5,000 or more, used or intended for use on a farm. Section 7 establishes that there shall continue to be a board known as the Agricultural Implements Board consisting of not less than three or more than seven members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
