Abstract

This Act amends the Agricultural (Commercial) Land Reform Act, 1995 so as to establish the Land Acquisition and Development Fund and to provide for its administration. The Minister may, from moneys available in the Fund, arrange for the undertaking of the development or improvement of land referred to in section 37 of the principal Act by any authority or person, subject to such terms and conditions determined by the Minister in concurrence with the Minister of Finance. Moneys of the Fund shall be used for, among other things, functions or powers of the Minister imposed by this Act in relation to the acquisition or development of agricultural land.
