Abstract The reasons for which the Parliament has enacted this Act are spelled out as a foreword to the text. The Act consists of 36 sections, divided into 11 Parts, and is completed by one schedule. It provides for the application of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act and its regulations as law and regulations in force in Queensland (sects. 5 and 6). Part 7 confers to the National Registration Authority the functions and powers conferred on it under this Act or under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act. Under Part 9 provisions for fees and taxes are prescribed while Part 10 describes the functions of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions on matters related to this Act.
