The Fund shall promote and develop the agricultural and livestock industries in Uganda by advancing loans to farmers or guaranteeing credits given to farmers. It may also, among other things: make recommendations to appropriate authorities relevant to the functions of the Fund; assist farmers and ensure that their activities are carried out on sound agricultural practices; and give advice to farmers in respect of financial administration.
