The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: (a) improvement of forest management methods; (b) conservation of biological diversity and protected forest areas; (c) voluntary forest certification; (d) forest monitoring; (e) protection against forest pests and diseases; (f) prevention of desertification; (g) afforestation and reforestation; and (h) research.
