Abstract

This Act defines the admiralty jurisdiction of the Federal High Court, and makes provision with respect to certain procedures and powers of enforcement of the Court. Jurisdiction shall include any claim for liability incurred under the National Environmental Protection Act 1984 by reason of discharge, escape or dumping of any oil, pollutant or waste material in the waters within the jurisdiction of the Republic from or by any ship.
