Abstract These Regulations, consisting of 20 articles, provide for rules, procedures and requirements to be satisfied by longline fishing vessels operating in the maritime area subject to the Taiwan-Japan Fisheries Agreement. Longline fishing vessels shall not operate in such area without authorization (art.3). Any longline fishing vessel that intends to operate in the area shall install an automatic location communicator (art.4).
