Abstract This Administrative Regulation, consisting of 28 articles divided into six Chapters, establishes the maritime navigation requirements. It specifies the authorized maritime activities and shall apply to the maritime transport of passengers of the Special Administrative Region of Macao, as place of departure, transfer or destination. Regular sea passenger transport can only be exercised by entities previously licensed for this purpose. It is under the responsibility of the director of the Port Authority to issue the license to carry out the activity of regular maritime transport of passengers. The Regulation is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. I); Access to the regular maritime transport of passengers (Chap. II); Activity exercise (Chap. III); Non-scheduled transport of passengers (Chap. IV); Inspection and sanctioning regime (Chap. V); Final and transitional provisions (Chap. VI).
