Abstract

This Regulation lays down provisions for the purpose of complementing the reduced use of inorganic fertilizers with the recommended rate of microbial-based fertilizers, sustaining and maintaining the production level in rice despite the reduction in the usage of inorganic fertilizer; and to reducing the dependency on imported inorganic fertilizers by promoting and supporting the scaled up application of microbial-based fertilizers. The implementing guidelines refers to microbial-based fertilizers usage, schedule of application and rate of application, description of microbial-based fertilizer, inorganic fertilizers, roles and responsibilities of regional field offices and microbial-based fertilizer supplier. This Regulation consists of 7 Articles.
