It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned MGB, entitled to manage and regulate mineral lands and mineral resources; promulgate rules and regulations, policies and programmes related to mineral resources management and geosciences development. MGB is composed of a central office and 15 regional offices, under the supervision and control of the Secretariat of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The Regional Director shall primarily carry out the mandate and powers and functions of the MGB at the regional level, under the supervision and control of the Director.
