Abstract This Act lays down rules to meet the food supply demands through local production encouraged by incentives and thereby to decrease the import of foreign products. To this end, this Act sets forth provisions on the incentive program for local pork and poultry production, incentive program for local seafood production, duties of the Bureau of Agriculture and the Livestock Sales Broker and Palau Livestock Association administered by the Bureau of Agriculture, and the establishment and administration of Palau Livestock Fund. Inspection of and grading for meats and poultry shall be carried out by the Veterinarian appointed by the Bureau of Agriculture. The Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Tourism and the Bureau of Agriculture or any other national agency with similar objectives, shall promulgate any rules and regulations necessary for the purposes of this Act within 90 days of the effective date of this Act.
