Abstract

The amendments to the principal Act introduced by the present Act concern the dredging of watercourses, timber floating, the regulation of water, waste water and other substances which may pollute water, water resources protection measures, proceedings with the Water Court, appeal against decisions, supervision and control, and permits for drainage projects. The amendments seem to be made in order to provide for environment conservation tasks of the Regional Environment Centres and the Finnish Environment Centre.
