Abstract Section 1, here amended, defines the scope of the Act and indicates that this Act applies to the same areas defined as "forest" by the Forest Act of 1996. Section 3 makes provision for long-term storage of timber. Section 4 deals with prevention of Insect and Fungi damages whereas section 6 specifies measures that may be taken by the Ministry or Forestry Centers in the case of extensive damage by fungi and insecs.
