Abstract

The principal Act provides, in order to secure improvement of forests, that financial support is available to private persons in the form of loans or grants. The minor amendments of the principal Act concern environment impact assessment for forest improvement projects proposed under the Act. No Forestry Office shall approve a project for financing unless it has at its disposal the environment impact assessment statement drawn up in accordance with provisions of Act No. 468 of 1994 relative to environment impact statements in general. Section 27 of the same Act shall apply as far as implementation of the present Act is concerned.
