In this connexion a body is established under the name “Régie des marchés agricoles et alimentaires du Québec”. The functions of the Régie are to foster the efficient and orderly marketing of agricultural and food products, the development of harmonious relations between the various intervenors, the settlement of problems arising in connection with the production and marketing of such products, taking into account the interests of consumers and the protection of the public interest.
