Abstract The Institute for Veterinary Drugs and Foodstuffs created by the present Act shall carry out control of animal diseases, take measures to fight such diseases, take other measures to enhance animal health, and control the quality of animal food. The Centre is placed under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It shall carry out certain tasks previously assigned to the Agricultural Agency and the State Control Institute for Milk Products and tasks specified in legislation listed in section 10.
