Abstract

This Act makes provision in relation to catching and bringing on land of polar bears in the Norwegian land and sea territory and to Norwegian citizens, residents and companies and other associations outside of the borders of the Norwegian territory (sect. 1). In order to protect the stock of bears and to ensure that hunting of bears is carried out in a sustainable manner, the Government may prescribe rules which restrict or prohibit catching of bears and prescribe minimum catch sizes.
