Abstract This Act provides provisions for the implementation of EU Council Regulation (EC) No. 1221/2009 with regard to the participation in the environmental management and audit scheme EMAS. EMAS’ purpose is to improve environmental performance of organizations. The scheme is introduced to organizations in Finland (and other member states) for the continued measures for environmental protection and control.
