Abstract The objective of the present Act is to contribute to Greenland's food security and promote an efficient and competitive agricultural industry trough measures that have a positive long-term employment and socioeconomic effect. It covers all relevant agricultural areas, including animal production, forestry, vegetable production, plant production for the manufacture of feed, leather production, etc. The Government may grant loans and subsidies to persons or companies entitled to farming in Greenland in accordance with this Act.
