Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the establishment of a Federal Radiation Protection Office having its legal domicile in Salzgitter as an independent higher federal authority of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. The Office carries out administrative tasks on behalf of the Federal State in the sphere of radiation protection, including preventive measures, nuclear safety, the transportation of radioactive substances and the establishment of certain plants. The text consists of 5 Articles referring to establishment and seat, tasks, technical supervision, Berlin clause and entry into force. Articles 2 and 3 are deleted.
