Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the establishment of a Federal Agency for nuclear waste. The Agency is responsible for: 1) authorizing final disposal sites of radioactive waste; 2) supporting the Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Protection and Nuclear Safety in expert and scientific issues; 3) dealing with issues on the same subject on behalf of the Ministry. The text consists of 4 articles as follows: Establishment (1); Responsibilities (2); Survey (3); Transitional provisions (4).
