Article 7 specifies that the government shall establish a strategy for conservation of biodiversity and sustainable use of the components thereof. The National Biodiversity Strategy shall include the followings: 1) Status, goal and basic direction-setting for biodiversity; 2) Protection and management of biodiversity and the components thereof; 3) Sustainable use of the components of biodiversity; 4) Handling of threats against biodiversity; 5) Research and technology development, education and public relation, and international cooperation on biodiversity.
