Abstract The present Act lays down provisions concerning environmentally safe storage of carbon dioxide, in order to contribute to the fight against climate change. The Act is composed of 25 articles and provides: (a) rights and obligations of natural persons and legal persons in the storing; (b) competence of state administration in the field of storage; (c) liability for violation of provisions established by this Act. This Act does not apply to storage for research, development or testing of new equipment and technological processes with a total intended dioxide emissions of less than 100,000 tons.
