Abstract This Act regulates the use of ice and water for export. It also applies to territorial waters around Greenland, however does not apply to the use of ice and water for supply or consumption in Greenland for hydroelectric power and related studies. The government can, for a specified area and under specified conditions grant permission to use ice and water for exportation purposes. In connection with the application for approval of a plan, applicants must provide relevant information, including information about the company's financial well-standing and opportunity for profitable operations as well as an assessment of the proposed business. Fees calculated on the basis of the volume and value of water export shall apply.
