Abstract This Act aims to promote the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and other greenhouse gas emissions in a cost-effective and economically efficient manner, and through a system of tradable allowances and credits for the establishment of stationary installations on land and water territories, as well as to the exclusive economic. The Act includes guidelines for the authorized quota of carbon dioxide emissions from flight operators departing from or arriving at an airport in a Member State. Registration of such emissions shall ensure the monitoring of pollution control activities which are in adherence to the Kyoto Protocol and EU regulations.
