This Act enters into force on 13 October 2009.
Abstract

This Act, consisting of 205 articles divided into 22 Chapters (containing the elucidation appended to the text), establishes Health development requirements which should be carried out following the basic principles of humanity, balance, utility, protection, respect to the rights and responsibility, justice, gender and non-discriminating and religious norms. The objectives of health development is to increase awareness, willingness and ability to a healthy life for every individual as an investment for development of human resource productive both socially and economically. The Act is divided as follows: General Provisions; Basic Principle and Objectives; Rights and Responsibilities; Responsibility of the Government; Health Resources and Effort; Health of Mother, Infant, Child, Teenager, Geriatric and the Handicapped; Nutrition; Mental Health; Infectious and Non-Infectious Diseases; Environmental Health; Occupational Health; Health Management; Health Information; Health Funding; Public Participation; Health Deliberation Body; Guidance and Monitoring; Investigation; Criminal Provisions; Transitional and Closing Provisions.
