The Act applies to enterprises based in Norway that offer goods and services in or outside Norway, as well as to larger foreign enterprises that offer goods and services in Norway. The enterprises covered by the Act shall carry out due diligence in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and shall publish an account of due diligence covering the social impacts of the enterprise. The Act grants any person the right to acquire information from an enterprise regarding how the enterprise addresses actual and potential adverse impacts detailed in Section 4.
