Abstract This Act represents the legislative reference framework in matter of protection of public health and the environment against toxic and hazardous substances. It is divided into five Sections. Section I lays down the definitions of toxic substances and hazardous substances, so as to define the scope of this Act. Toxic and hazardous substances shall not be covered by these provisions if they are used in compliance with the laws referred to in article 3. Article 2 sets up a Committee on Toxic Substances.
