Abstract

The scope of this Act is to regulate the traffic of motor vehicles in watercourses and in outlying pasture fields in order to protect the environment. "Motor vehicles" includes road and off-the road vehicles such as snowscooters and tractors and boats of all kinds including planes landing on water. "Outlying fields" means uncultivated land and which is not included in "home fields" defined in section 1 of the Recreation Act. Fenced meadows on slopes, afforestation fields, and cultivated pasture are included in the definition of "utmark". Permissions for certain use of motor vehicles shall be granted by municipalities. Use of such vehicles shall also be regulated by municipalities. (14 sections)
