Abstract This Act establishes protected areas for environment management. It consists of 11 articles and 2 appendixes laying down the requirements to be satisfied in order to regulate protected areas for scientific purposes. It prohibits in the aforementioned areas the using or just keeping of every type of hunting gear, logging instruments, etc. This Act also prescribes sanctions for offenders under the competence of Ibama. Appendixes list every different protected areas' characteristics.
